シスコシステムズは、独立行政法人情報通信研究機構（NICT）と、サイバーセキュリティに関連する様々な分野における研究協力に関する覚書を更新したと発表しました。両者は2017年に覚書を締結しており、今回の覚書更新は、技術環境の進展を踏まえ、新たな分野での協業拡大を目指すものです。2017年には、人材交流、知識の共有、ワークショップの開催、共同研究の可能性の検討などを通じて、グローバルなコンピューティング環境のセキュリティ強化に向けた共同取り組みに関する研究協力覚書を締結しました。これにより、政府機関や産業界を含む社会全体を様々なサイバーセキュリティの脅威から守るための対策など、幅広い分野での研究協力が実現しました。
In addition to the existing information sharing, this renewal includes new initiatives. Specifically, personnel exchanges, including mutual dispatches of employees and staff from both parties, and the exchange and sharing of expertise through the latest cybersecurity threats and incident analysis will be carried out. Cisco will also share its cybersecurity source development program with NICT’s Cybersecurity Nexus (CYNEX), and will conduct joint research and exchange knowledge on AI security-related technologies with 情報通信研究機構‘s AI Security Research Center (CREATE). シスコ ますます巧妙化するサイバー攻撃に対応するためには、研究コミュニティ、民間企業、政府機関が緊密に連携することが不可欠であり、脅威に対して迅速かつ柔軟に対応するための情報や知識を共有することが、セキュリティシステムのさらなる強化につながると述べました。
