Secom Trust Systems, a group company of Secom, announced that it will begin offering its “Secure Data Center TC4” on October 1. The facility will be powered by 100% renewable energy and be environmentally friendly. Located in Tokyo, Secure Data Center TC4 is a 1,000-rack facility. It also offers a variety of cloud services, enabling a hybrid environment combining on-premise, public cloud, and private cloud. The facility is manned 24/7, 365 days a year, and equipped with Secom AI cameras and Secom AI behavior detection system cameras, it detects fraudulent activity as well as falls, sudden illness, violence, and vandalism. It also employs the AI-powered security robot “cocobo,” which performs patrol and inspection duties in place of on-site security guards. Body scanners and X-ray machines prevent the introduction of external storage media and suspicious objects. Small devices such as USBs can also be detected.
さらに Secom Trust Systems security engineers will conduct “attack surface investigations” to identify potential attack points by examining customers’ publicly available IT assets (attack surfaces) on the internet. AT TOKYO’s cloud connection service (ATBeX) enables seamless connection between customer IT environments at Secure Data Center TC4 and the mega cloud. The floor’s load-bearing capacity is 1.5 tons per square meter, ensuring robustness. The seismic isolation structure ensures the data center can continue to function even in the event of a magnitude 7 earthquake. The foundation is pile-based, with high-bearing capacity precast concrete piles used for construction.

The facility receives extra-high voltage power from two substations via a main and backup line system, and is equipped with backup power equipment such as emergency generators and uninterruptible power supplies. Located within 30 minutes of central Tokyo, the facility has one basement floor and four aboveground floors. Its power receiving capacity is 10MW. It will be powered by natural energy from solar and wind power, and will utilize geothermal heat for air conditioning.
