Oracle and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the general availability of Oracle Database@AWS . Customers can now run Oracle Exadata Database Service and Oracle Autonomous Database on dedicated infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in AWS . Oracle Database@AWS is available in the AWS US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) regions, with plans to expand to more than 20 AWS regions worldwide.
Customers can easily migrate their Oracle Database workloads to Oracle Database@AWS running on AWS OCI while taking advantage of the latest Oracle Database 23ai with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and built-in AI vector capabilities. Oracle Database@AWS includes zero ETL (extract, transform, load) integration, simplifying data integration between enterprise Oracle Database services and AWS Analytics services, eliminating the need to build and manage complex data pipelines. This enables seamless data flow between Oracle Database services and AWS services, enabling customers to combine their data with AWS analytics, machine learning, and generative AI services to further power their applications. These capabilities expand the options for customers to run databases in the cloud and complement existing options for running Oracle Database workloads in AWS.
