Mitsubishi Electric Building Solutions Corporation (MEBS) has announced the introduction of KEGMIL, a cloud-based platform developed by Singapore’s FTV LABS, to streamline field service management for elevator and escalator maintenance in international markets. Scheduled to launch in Singapore in October 2025, KEGMIL is expected to expand across Southeast Asia and beyond, addressing the growing demands for safety, convenience, and efficiency in mobility infrastructure.
KEGMIL digitizes key maintenance processes, enabling work instructions, progress tracking, and emergency dispatch to be handled entirely through a mobile app. Pre-launch tests demonstrated that creating maintenance worker assignment plans could be reduced by approximately 90%, while generating work reports decreased by around 50%. The platform integrates workflow standardization, GPS-based task monitoring, and digital reporting, allowing precise, rapid responses to equipment failures and reducing downtime. Photos, videos, and digital signatures ensure accurate recordkeeping even for personnel not directly responsible for a unit.

The deployment of KEGMIL complements MEBS’s M’s BRIDGE remote monitoring system, enhancing the efficiency and consistency of global maintenance services. MEBS is digitizing and optimizing field operations. This will tackle workforce issues, improve service quality, and accelerate digital transformation in elevator and escalator maintenance worldwide.
