KINTO Technologies, the company behind the car subscription service KINTO ONE, has implemented New Relic to enhance observability across its web front-end, back-end, and integration systems. The announcement was made by New Relic on September 24.
KINTO Technologies, a member of the Toyota Group, used various open-source software for its observability setup. Since metrics, traces, and logs used different tools, finding the root cause of system issues took a lot of time. The company wanted to make processes smoother and speed up development. So, they aimed to standardize monitoring and troubleshooting. This will create a unified system to speed up issue resolution for all teams.
After evaluating options, KINTO Technologies selected New Relic for its integrated functionality, unlimited monitoring user license, dedicated support from its Japanese subsidiary, and the maturity of its global user community. The platform was introduced in March 2023, and now provides full visibility into KINTO ONE’s web front-end, back-end, and connected systems, enabling comprehensive data collection and analysis across all operations.

With New Relic in place, the system can now detect defects that affect user experience but may not surface in application error logs, allowing teams to resolve issues before they escalate. To encourage adoption among development teams, the company’s Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) group also created an AI-powered tool called New Relic Analyzer. By posting the alert ID directly to Slack when a malfunction occurs, the tool leverages ニューレリック’s API, NerdGraph, to automatically retrieve and analyze log and trace data. It then generates summaries, identifies anomalies and trends, and reports findings, supporting early detection of potential risks.
