Kanri has signed a partnership agreement with ONE-AIO Lab, the AI research and development organization of Hakuhodo DY ONE. Under the agreement, ONE-AIO Lab will begin handling Kanri Local Inventory, Kanri’s service for bringing physical store inventory into digital channels.
Kanri Local Inventory Links your in-store stock data to Google Search, Google Maps and Google Shopping. A customer searching for something on Google will be able to see if their local store has the item on hand before deciding to leave home to check it out. This is one more way retailers can make their in-store inventory visible to searchers on the Internet.
The timing is closely tied to how search is changing. Generative AI is increasingly being used when people are deciding what to buy, and newer AI-led shopping experiences depend on having current information to work with. Store inventory is particularly useful here. If an AI system knows that a product is actually available at a nearby location, it has a much stronger basis for helping someone decide where and how to buy it.

Kanri brings its experience as a Google Local Feed Partner, while ONE-AIO Lab focuses on research around AI and search experiences. Their work will center on making store inventory easier to use across these newer digital touchpoints.
There are some fairly practical benefits for retailers too. Customers can check stock before visiting, which can help avoid unnecessary trips and reduce routine calls to stores. Inventory data can also support OMO strategies by linking physical locations with ecommerce and brand websites.
Kanri says it will continue building partnerships around store DX, with the longer-term aim of making accurate inventory information usable across more platforms and AI-powered services.
