SAP Japan has announced the general availability of its SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and the expansion of SAP Business AI, aiming to help enterprises unify, manage, and leverage business data for real-time decision-making. BDC is a fully managed SaaS platform integrating SAP and non-SAP data through services like SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Business Warehouse. Its new integration with Databricks enables zero-copy data sharing, allowing real-time analytics without data replication.
BDC organizes information into “data products” accessible company-wide, serving as a high-quality foundation for AI applications. SAP emphasized that deeply embedding AI into core processes is key to achieving reliability and meaningful business impact. The company estimates process efficiency gains of around 30% when AI is fully integrated.
