AvePoint Japan announced on the 16th that it will begin full-scale provision of “DenshoBako,” an external file sharing solution that works with Microsoft 365.
AvePoint Japan, which works with Microsoft 365 and allows direct file sharing from OneDrive and Teams, explained that while supporting Microsoft 365 user companies, they have had many opportunities to be consulted about the problem of “external file sharing” in the sales and back office departments. The external sharing function that comes standard with Microsoft 365 has management issues such as the inability to set up detailed settings for each department, while third-party cloud storage and file transfer services have hurdles in terms of cost and operation.
Therefore, as the first in a new product series specialized for the Japanese market, they will begin full-scale provision of “DenshoBako,” a product that seamlessly works with Microsoft 365 and allows anyone to share files easily and safely. DenshoBako is the first solution that AvePoint Japan planned, designed, and developed in Japan. It combines the technical assets of a global IT vendor with the customer understanding cultivated through business in Japan to achieve both ease of use and functionality. DenshoBako works seamlessly with Microsoft 365 environments such as OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams. You can safely share files directly from the Microsoft 365 interface without the hassle of uploading files to another service. It visualizes when and how the sent file was opened. By being able to see at a glance whether a file has been opened or not, it is possible to follow up with customers appropriately and reduce inefficient approaches. It adopts a simple and intuitive interface that even first-time users can use immediately, which reduces the burden not only on sales and back-office sites, but also on the IT department.

In terms of security, it has already obtained ISMS and SOC2 certification, and is currently applying for ISMAP, a government cloud certification system. It also has single sign-on and access control functions, so it can be safely introduced in industries with high security requirements. The price is 500 yen per user per month (for a minimum of 10 users), and the system can be introduced in departments that handle a lot of external file sharing.
