TDC Soft announced the launch of a technical support project based on Nishikawa Keisoku’s LITEC development technology standard. This project focuses on the use of the generative AI “GitHub Copilot” to comprehensively support productivity and quality improvements throughout the development process. LITEC, a portmanteau of “Lab Informatics” and “Technology,” was built as a portal site consolidating the technical standards and know-how necessary for development. By standardizing development process standards, development rules, and configuration management rules, the project aims to standardize development quality and centralize knowledge and tools.
Furthermore, the site also features technical support and opinion gathering functions, enabling knowledge sharing throughout the organization to simultaneously improve technical capabilities and continuously improve development standards. To support efficient development and operations, the project also provides a wide range of templates for tickets, design documents, and other documents, as well as guidelines on how to utilize various tools. A key feature of the project is the integration of generative AI with LITEC’s technical standards to maximize its effectiveness. Specifically, we have established guidelines to promote the safe and effective use of generative AI and are creating an environment where it can be used with peace of mind through study sessions and other initiatives.
Furthermore, by actively utilizing generative AI for the automatic generation of unit test code and support for source code implementation, we are realizing the efficiency of tasks that were previously difficult to secure the time for manually, contributing to improved development productivity. Furthermore, by applying generative AI to rewrite code into “clean code” that is highly readable and maintainable, we aim to eliminate technical debt and stabilize the quality of the entire project. Even in upstream processes, we aim to achieve both labor cost reduction and quality improvement by utilizing generative AI to support the creation of documentation such as requirements definition. Yuko Okuma, General Manager of the Software Solutions Division, Technical Solutions Headquarters, Nishikawa Keisoku, commented, “Our development system has faced challenges such as technical inconsistency and personalization due to years of accumulated experience.

The introduction of LITEC is a major step toward resolving these issues. We have particularly high expectations for TDCソフト‘s approach of integrating generative AI with development standards. We are confident that this project will improve development productivity and establish a system that allows us to deliver higher-quality services to the market more quickly.”
