Marubeni introduces RECERQA Scan for complex documents

Marubeni Information Systems Co., Ltd. On September 5, announced it signed a distributor agreement with Recerca Co., Ltd. To start providing RECERQA Scan, a new AI-OCR service made for non-standard documents.

RECERQA Scan is a cloud-based tool that uses AI. It provides quick and accurate digitization. You don’t need special scanning spots to use it. It works well for non-standard documents. These types have been hard to handle with regular OCR systems. In real-world testing, a company using the service saw a 98% recognition rate. This was achieved across 50 document formats and 2,068 items. It also captured details that traditional AI-OCR systems missed.

Unlike traditional OCR tools, RECERQA Scan does not require coordinate specification or prior training. The AI automatically reads different document types.

Users can show the items they want in Japanese. The AI then looks at the meaning and layout of the text to get the needed information.

Generative AI goes beyond just digitization. It can summarize content. It can translate languages. It can also perform calculations with form data.
