Fujitsu Limited, 1FINITY Ltd., Fujitsu’s network business, and Arrcus Inc., a US-based company, have signed a strategic partnership agreement to strengthen the next-generation infrastructure business that supports AI and provide innovative network solutions to the Japanese and global markets.
As AI becomes more widely implemented in society, AI-related data traffic is increasing dramatically as services become more sophisticated. In response, there is a growing need for infrastructure that can connect data centers, clouds, 5G/6G networks, and edge environments.
Arrcus develops advanced routing and switching platforms based on Ethernet technology, which is widely used as the foundation of the Internet, and provides industry-leading network software that meets the diverse needs of network operators and enterprise companies.

The network operating system software (hereinafter referred to as “Network OS Software”) developed by Arrcus can run everything from clusters within datacenters to edge systems and multi-cloud environments that combine multiple cloud services, all on the same Network OS software, thereby shortening deployment times and enabling centralized operation and management. Furthermore, instead of dedicated hardware, the software has a unique function that allows highly versatile hardware and software known as “white boxes” to be individually selected and combined to operate together, making it possible to deploy white boxes equipped with silicon with optimal specifications. Companies that have implemented this software have achieved a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) reduction of more than 40% in multiple use cases.
Under this partnership agreement, 1FINITY will become Arrcus’ business partner, providing total solutions. The two companies will collaborate on developing go-to-market (GTM) plans for network operators, enterprises, and datacenter operators, while expanding business globally, primarily in Japan. The two companies will also work to expand their business partners globally, not just within the Fujitsu Group, and through collaboration on managed services and other services provided by these partners, will build comprehensive total solutions, from network design to maintenance and operations, and deliver optimal value to customers.
Fujitsu’s global customer base will enable it to provide flexible and scalable solutions that can respond to rapidly changing market needs. By combining the Arrcus business model with 富士通‘s strengths in AI services and computing technology, the two companies aim to become a next-generation infrastructure service provider.
