Classmethod Inc. will release “Tsumiki,” a framework that systematizes and streamlines the use of Anthropic’s AI agent-driven coding tool “Claude Code,” as open source starting today.
Nowadays, we live in an age where even people with little programming experience can easily create systems thanks to AI-based “Vibe Coding” (a development method in which AI generates code by issuing instructions in natural language). However, the following serious issues have become apparent in corporate development sites.
・”It’s not implemented as expected” – Frequent rework due to ambiguous specifications
“It works, but it’s probably hard to maintain” – Technical debt builds up due to lack of testing
・”It’s usable for simple demos, but I’m scared of using it in production” – Lack of quality assurance process

Over the past 12 months, Classmethod has been working with over 40 client companies on AI-driven development, and has discovered that solving these challenges requires not only “pursuing AI intelligence,” but also “discipline in the development process.”
Furthermore, through the use of Claude Code, many companies have expressed the following needs:
・”I want to utilize the systematic practice of test-driven development (TDD).”
・”I want to create a standardized workflow for the entire team.”
・”We want to establish a development process that utilizes AI while ensuring quality.”
・”I want to eliminate the gap in individual prompting skills.”
To meet these needs, Classmethod has decided to systematize the know-how it has accumulated through AI-assisted test-driven development and release it as a framework.
