Advanced Media Inc. has introduced a new solution aimed at tackling the growing issue of customer harassment in face-to-face service settings. The “Face-to-face Customer Harassment Prevention Recording Starter Pack,” built on the company’s AI voice recognition system AmiVoice, enables businesses to record and transcribe customer interactions. This tool integrates with AmiVoice SF-CMS, Advanced Media’s conversation analysis platform, and is now available at a monthly rate of 33,000 yen.
Amid rising reports of customer harassment—outpacing even workplace power harassment, according to Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare—there is increasing pressure on organizations to implement effective protective measures. Although national and local governments have issued guidelines and ordinances to address the issue, frontline staff often bear the responsibility of managing incidents without systemic support.
