Adobe announced its AI-powered platform, Adobe Acrobat Studio, on the 19th (US time). Targeting business professionals, the English version will be available worldwide starting the same day. A Japanese version is currently in preparation.
Regarding the target demographic of business professionals, Akiko Yamamoto, Product Marketing Director, Adobe Document Cloud, said, “With the advent of AI and information overload, business professionals face pressure to quickly find the knowledge they need and achieve results. Furthermore, as communication and collaboration patterns change and role divisions become more complex than ever, a broad range of skills is required.” Meanwhile, organizational business needs are also changing, requiring organizations to extract maximum value from information, people, and technology. However, Yamamoto pointed out that “progress is hindered by the difficulty of accessing the vast majority of unstructured data, the uncertainty surrounding the cost-effectiveness of AI tools, and increasingly tight budget constraints.” In particular, much unstructured data is stored in PDFs. “Manually searching through a huge number of documents for necessary information takes time, and even if they can be shared, it’s difficult to apply them to further actions.
Furthermore, the entire process of converting document knowledge into content and improving its presentation couldn’t be completed with a single tool,” Yamamoto said, explaining the challenges of document utilization to date. “To address these challenges, we developed Acrobat Studio, which allows for a consistent process from document creation to sharing, review, and design enhancement.” Acrobat Studio offers a workspace feature called PDF Spaces, which allows users to transform saved files and websites into interactive knowledge hubs.

Furthermore, AI assistants within PDF Spaces can be assigned specific roles, such as “instructor,” “analyst,” or “entertainer.” For example, an AI assistant with the instructor role would present information in a style similar to a teacher explaining to students. Users can also assign newly defined roles to AI assistants to suit their needs, allowing them to share personalized AI assistants with team members and customers. PDF Spaces supports formats such as PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, RTF, XLSX, and VTT. It supports web URLs, copied text, and cloud files from Adobe Cloud Storage, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive. However, audio and video files are not currently supported. Acrobat Studio also includes Adobe Express, enabling business professionals, even non-creators, to easily create beautiful content.
Acrobat Studio offers all the features of the Adobe Express Premium plan, including professionally designed templates and brand kits, as well as Adobe Firefly tools like “Text to Video” and “Text to Image.” Yamamoto stated, “Adobe’s vision is to enable business professionals to efficiently utilize documents like PDFs, which contain vast amounts of hidden knowledge, to create new and compelling content and seamlessly integrate the process from creation to final output.” A 14-day free trial of Acrobat Studio offers unlimited access to PDF Spaces, the Acrobat AI Assistant, and アドビ Express Premium features. Early access pricing is $24.99 per month for individuals and $29.99 per month for teams.
