Gelion plc, an innovator in energy storage, has teamed up with TDK Corporation. TDK is a top electronics and battery maker based in Japan. TDK has more than 100,000 employees. It has big manufacturing sites in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. TDK serves various industries, including automotive, industrial, and consumer technology.
TDK and Gelion have partnered for years to create battery technologies. They will use Gelion’s Sulfur battery Cathode Active Material (CAM). Gelion partners with the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (MPI) to support this work. The collaboration will focus on producing large-format commercial pouch cell prototypes, evaluating performance across various applications, and integrating CAM into TDK’s prototype production lines.
