NTT DATA XAM Technologies Corporation そして Nippon Light Metal Co., Ltd. signed a strategic partnership agreement in September 2019 that leverages the strengths of both companies to build an end-to-end ecosystem in the metal additive manufacturing (AM) business, from material development to design, manufacturing, and post-processing.
Through this partnership, we will act as an “all-in-one partner” that will create further added value by utilizing AM technology, and will provide strong support for the growth and expansion of our customers’ AM businesses.
In recent years, the adoption and utilization of metal AM technology has accelerated in various cutting-edge fields, including the automotive industry, aerospace, defense, medical, industrial machinery, and robotics. The market is expected to continue to grow, driven in particular by increasing needs for lightweighting and optimized design.

However, full-scale application of AM technology requires not only advanced knowledge of new manufacturing processes and design methods, but also the development of materials that meet diverse customer needs, making technical responsiveness increasingly important.
