Genetec Corporation is pleased to announce that it will begin offering “AssessA SCAN,” a business diagnostic service for the introduction of product lifecycle management systems in the manufacturing industry, from Monday, March 2nd.
This service quantitatively visualizes the issues in business, organization, and IT environment when considering PLM implementation in a short period of time. By organizing and scoring the current business operations, we can determine whether or not to implement PLM and diagnose the priority of resolving issues leading to implementation, thereby supporting the success of the customer’s PLM implementation.
Traditional PLM consideration methods take several months and are premised on the introduction of PLM, and it is common to “think about it after introduction” without a clear understanding of business issues. As a result, despite investments of tens to hundreds of millions of yen, there is a disconnect between management decisions and on-site operations, and on-site workers become exhausted before the effects of introduction become apparent. Ultimately, PLM does not take root, and there have been many cases where companies have reverted to personal operations.

“AssessA SCAN” is a business diagnostic service that clarifies the “priority and scope” of issues that need to be resolved before implementing PLM, based on determining whether or not to implement it.
We conduct interviews regarding current business processes, organizational structure, and IT environment, and then score the results through quantitative evaluation. This not only helps us make an objective decision on whether to implement PLM, but also visualizes the priorities of issues that need to be resolved and the appropriate scope of implementation, thereby improving the chances of successful PLM implementation.
