Interstellar Technologies Inc. Taiki-cho, Hiroo-gun, Hokkaido is home to a company led by Takahiro Inagawa. This firm aims to be a complete space infrastructure provider. It focuses on rocket and satellite communications. The company recently partnered with Toyota Motor Corporation. Toyota is located in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture. The alliance is under the leadership of President and CEO Koji Sato. They partnered with Woven by Toyota Corporation in Chuo-ku, Tokyo. Hajime Kumabe leads the team there.
The three companies will work together to create a strong manufacturing system. This system will help develop an affordable, high-frequency space transportation service.
Interstellar Technologies is a leader among Japanese private space transport companies. They made history by launching the MOMO sounding rocket, which was the first independently developed space launch in Japan. The company is developing ZERO to address the global shortage of space launch capacity. This rocket is designed for small satellite launches. It supports Japan’s goal to boost its domestic launch capabilities.

This new agreement expands on a partnership started in January 2025. Interstellar Technologies and Woven by Toyota joined forces then. The three companies will shift from single rocket production to large-scale manufacturing. This new approach will support repeated launches. Starting in August 2025, Toyota will send staff to Woven by Toyota Motor Corporation. They will help in many areas of manufacturing. This includes developing the first Rocket ZERO vehicle and boosting commercialization efforts.
Interstellar Technologies is now a co-creator of “Toyota Woven City.” This is the first time a startup has taken on this role. The project seeks to use Toyota’s years of manufacturing skill. Development will focus at Interstellar Technologies’ main location.
