Idea Inc., which operates the maritime industry platform “Aisea,” is pleased to announce the commencement of data linkage between its crew management DX solution “Aisea Crew” and the crew payroll system “Naminori Senkyu” provided by YJK Solutions Co., Ltd. This linkage has already been implemented by several domestic shipping companies and is being used stably in actual operations.
This linkage will import the crew, labor, and allowance performance data accumulated daily in “Aisea Crew” into “Naminori Senkyu,” reducing the work of collecting, transcribing, and verifying the basis information necessary for payroll calculation. At the same time, by standardizing the operation of payroll calculation work, which tends to be complex, it will support the creation of a system that does not depend on specific personnel.

Payroll calculations for seafarers are complex and require handling of work performance data, making them more operationally burdensome than land-based payroll calculations. Many domestic shipping companies still manage the performance information necessary for payroll calculations (such as crew assignments, overtime hours, and counts of the number of times various allowances are applied) using Excel or paper, and then compile it after the closing date before re-entering it into the payroll system. This “aggregation, input, and checking of performance information,” along with crew assignment management, is highly dependent on the experience of the person in charge and is a major factor in the personalization of the work.
On the other hand, with the progress of electronic labor management spurred by legal revisions and the establishment of an environment where performance information can be managed in a system, we have received many requests to “connect payroll calculations seamlessly if we are going to digitize labor management.” Against this backdrop, we have held discussions and discussions with YJK Solutions Co., Ltd., which has been providing seafarer payroll systems for many years and is well-versed in payroll calculation practices, and have realized this data linkage.
