Olympus Corporation has launched the NBI+TXI™ observation mode. This new feature enhances its EVIS X1™ endoscopy system (CV-1500 Video System Center). It combines Narrow Band Imaging (NBI™) and Texture and Color Enhancement Imaging (TXI™) for one clear view. Sales of the upgraded system will start in Japan in November 2025. Global rollouts will follow once we get regulatory approvals.
Since launching in 2020, the EVIS X1 system has improved our diagnosis of gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases. It uses unique imaging modes like TXI, NBI, and RDI™ (Red Dichromatic Imaging). The new NBI+TXI mode boosts the platform’s diagnostic power. It enhances brightness correction and contrast. It also improves the clarity of vascular and mucosal patterns. This is crucial for finding early cancer and precancerous lesions.

Japan has a high rate of gastrointestinal cancers. This highlights the need for these innovations. Olympus combines NBI’s vascular contrast with TXI’s better texture and brightness. This helps enhance visualization during endoscopy. It also improves diagnostic accuracy. The NBI+TXI mode is the next step for オリンポス. It aims to improve medical imaging. This will help detect diseases earlier and more accurately.
