NDソフトウェア has introduced a new paid feature for its AI voice assistant Honobono Voice that targets a very real problem inside nursing care facilities. Staff members frequently handle multiple tasks at the same time which prevents them from answering phones or other devices during their work with residents. The processing of information becomes slower because critical updates to information no longer reach their intended recipients.
The new Honobono Voice Intercom Option tries to remove that friction. It allows staff to communicate with each other through hands free voice calls while the system automatically converts conversations into text in real time. The transcripts are saved in a chat style log and voice recordings remain accessible for up to 30 days. This creates a record of instructions and updates that can be checked later if something was missed during a busy shift.
The feature runs inside the existing Honobono Voice app, which already allows caregivers to record care notes and retrieve information using voice commands. With the intercom option, staff can initiate group calls or one to one communication without touching a smartphone, often through headset controls or voice commands.

The update reflects a broader push to bring AI driven workflow tools into healthcare and elder care. The sector needs tools which decrease manual tasks while enhancing operational communication because labor shortages are increasing throughout the industry.
