India, with the largest population in the world, has grown quickly. Its financial infrastructure has improved a lot, too. The Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative is speeding up local manufacturing growth. OKI began its journey in the Indian ATM market in 2013. Then, in 2014, it set up its local subsidiary, OKI INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, in Mumbai. The company has since focused on growing its sales network and maintenance support. It is also exploring local production. This aims to offer high-quality, eco-friendly Japanese ATMs to more banks.
Lipi Data Systems Ltd produces electromechanical products in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It serves sectors like BFSI, retail, aviation, and transit. OKI and Lipi Data Systems Ltd are teaming up. They will blend OKI’s advanced tech with Lipi’s local know-how. Their goal is to set up ATMs as safe and easy-to-use social infrastructure throughout India.
