Ii-Seikatsu, a provider of SaaS and cloud-based BPO (BPaaS) for real estate operations, announced on April 30, 2026, that it has begun joint development of a “New Lease Accounting Standards Compliance Package” with NTT Data Business Brains. The package will combine NTT Data Business Brains’ no-code cloud database “Slopebase” with Ii-Seikatsu’s expertise in real estate practices. A formal release is planned for October 2026.
The “New Lease Accounting Standards Compliance Package,” jointly developed by Ii Seikatsu and NTT Data Business Brains, is a software package designed to support compliance with the new lease accounting standards. It enables an automated workflow that generates accounting entries without duplicate data entry, simply by updating property information. A formal release is planned for October 2026.
This project combines “Slopebase” (provided by NTT Data Business Brains), a cloud service that allows for the development and operation of database applications without coding, with Ii Seikatsu‘s expertise in real estate practices. Using a property master tailored to real estate practices, it accurately captures real estate-specific information that cannot be managed by general accounting software, such as parking spaces, common area fees, and termination option determinations.

The development of this solution stems from the mandatory application of new lease accounting standards in April 2027, which will require the recording of lease agreements for offices, stores, warehouses, etc., as assets and liabilities on the balance sheet. For retailers, restaurants, and service industries with multiple stores and locations, organizing contract information and recalculating each time rent is revised or lease terms are extended will be a significant practical burden.
According to the company, the only options for business systems to comply with the new lease accounting standards are essentially expensive ERP systems costing tens of millions of yen, or manual work using Excel. Recognizing the need for a third option that allows mid-sized companies to complete their operations at a reasonable cost, they are jointly developing a new packaged software.
