Hootfolio Inc., which provides the scientific decision-making solution “causal analysis︎®” using causal analysis (Causal AI), is pleased to announce that it has raised funds through a third-party allotment of new shares, underwritten by Quantum Leap Ventures Inc. and United Inc. The funds raised will be used to expand the business, including strengthening the product. This will help create a world where anyone can make scientific decisions.

背景と目的

With the advent of generative AI, it has become possible to quickly process large amounts of data and make highly accurate predictions and classifications. However, it was difficult with conventional AI technology to explain “why a result was obtained” while clearly explaining the reasons. Therefore, in order to clarify causal relationships from complex psychology and events and derive appropriate actions, it was necessary to utilize data scientists and external consultants, which required a lot of cost and time.

“Causal analysis®” is a solution developed based on the research technology of NEC Corporation (hereinafter “NEC”), and has led the practical application of Causal AI. We will further expand the business of “Causal analysis®” after acquiring the business from NEC in January 2025.

“Causal analysis®” shortens the analysis time for causal analysis, which previously required highly specialized knowledge, to 1/5 to 1/10 of the previous time, achieving efficiency and cost reduction. In addition, it provides a user experience (UX) and a wide range of support menus that allow users to intuitively understand causal structures and derive measures even without specialized knowledge, and supports decision-making in a variety of fields, including marketing strategies, policy planning, and human capital management. Furthermore, the company is expanding into new areas such as the sophistication of manufacturing processes, and has decided to raise funds in order to maximize these growth opportunities.
