Kato Sangyo, a food wholesaler based in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, has adopted Concur Expense as its expense management platform. Approximately 1,000 employees began using the system in June 2025, with plans to gradually expand the system to domestic group companies. Concur announced the move on August 18. Until now, the company had handled expense settlements using a system developed in-house.
However, in response to rapidly changing external conditions such as legal reforms and the need to promote employee work style reforms, the company decided to adopt Concur Expense. This allows the entire process, from expense reporting to approval, to be completed digitally, promoting a paperless system and enabling flexible operation regardless of time or location. In the future, automatic linking of tamper-proof cashless payment data with external services is expected to significantly reduce the input burden on applicants. Approvers will also be able to complete processing with minimal confirmation, which is expected to improve operational efficiency.

In addition, the company plans to strengthen governance. Until now, unproductive tasks such as processing transaction information have accounted for roughly half of the accounting department’s overall work, but going forward, by actively utilizing Concur Expense, the department aims to shift to more value-added tasks such as providing management advice and cost analysis.Until now, unproductive tasks such as processing transaction information have accounted for roughly half of the accounting department’s overall work, but going forward, by actively utilizing Concur Expense, the department aims to shift to more value-added tasks such as providing management advice and cost analysis.
