SailPoint has rolled out its Unified Platform Access program, sort of giving technology partners direct access to its Atlas platform so they can craft native identity security applications and integrations. In practice the idea is to chip away at one of the biggest hassles enterprises hit during cybersecurity adoption, basically tying security tools and workflows together across different systems, not just keeping everything in its own silo.

Instead of waiting on custom integrations that can take months to actually get live, partners can build certified applications that connect identity security with HR, IT and other industry specific platforms. セイルポイント will validate these integrations prior to release, so yeah the partner doesn’t just ship and hope. Overall the announcement shows a bigger move toward platform ecosystems and security marketplaces, where vendors increasingly lean on partner built apps to stretch product capabilities and, in turn, customer value.
