LIFULL Co., Ltd., which is working to solve social issues through its business, and CAMPFIRE Co., Ltd. will begin providing a special website in collaboration with local governments, centered on urban development, around May 2026.
Background: New options for funding urban development
In rural areas today, various initiatives are emerging to transform communities, such as new businesses being started, vacant properties being utilized, and the activities of community development support teams. Crowdfunding is gaining attention as a means of raising funds for these projects, and it is expected to become widespread in local communities as a diverse fundraising method that supports sustainable activities, alongside public support such as subsidies.
Therefore, both companies believe that by combining LIFULL’s network built with over 770 local governments nationwide with CAMPFIRE’s accumulated crowdfunding know-how and platform, they can provide a new option, beyond self-funding, financial institutions, and public funds, to local governments and people in regions that have not previously had contact with crowdfunding. This collaboration was decided upon to build a platform that expands the sustainability and possibilities of community development.

Furthermore, by collaborating with “HIOKOSHI,” a crowdfunding platform operated by CAMPFIRE that specializes in regional revitalization cooperation teams, LIFULL will leverage its network of regional revitalization cooperation teams, in which it has been involved from the recruitment stage, to provide a smooth path to fundraising and further expand support for their activities.
