Staffbase, the world’s first AI-native employee experience platform, has completed Japanese language support for its “AI Podcast” and “AI Assistant” services, which promote AI utilization even for field employees without PCs, and will begin offering them from April 2026. This will enable field employees without PCs to complete everything from obtaining necessary information to performing work procedures using their smartphones.
Staffbase provides services based on an AI-native platform that supports improved employee engagement and organizational unity through internal communication tools such as employee apps, intranets, and email. In 2025, it expanded into Japan, France, Italy, and Spain, and in February 2026, it established a base in Mexico, beginning its expansion into Central and South America. Currently, it operates in approximately 50 countries worldwide and is used by around 1,500 enterprise companies.

In recent years, as the need for digitalization has increased in fields such as manufacturing, logistics, retail, and healthcare, this Japanese language support will help Japanese companies improve internal communication and promote business efficiency through the use of AI.
Background: To enable AI to be accessible to “on-site employees”
Staffbase prioritizes the widespread adoption of AI among frontline workers (field employees), who make up the majority of businesses. Approximately 80% of the world’s workforce are frontline workers, employed in retail, factories, healthcare, logistics, construction, and other fields.
However, until now, many AI tools and internal systems have been designed primarily for desk workers using PCs, and have not been fully utilized by on-site employees.
In recent years, the need for digitalization in these kinds of workplaces has been increasing globally.
Japan, in particular, shares many similarities with Germany in its industrial structure, especially in the manufacturing and automotive sectors, and the challenges faced by on-site employees are also similar. Many workplaces face challenges such as employees not being provided with PCs, reliance on paper and Excel for business operations, information gaps with headquarters, and inefficient work processes. In addition, they are also facing changes such as increased language diversification due to the rise in foreign workers and an aging workforce.
スタッフベース provides AI-native communication and business support tools through smartphone apps and other means, bringing AI to field employees who do not have access to PCs.
