X-Mobile Corporation と提携しています。 Higashimurayama City そして Enex Co., Ltd. to roll out a new mobile communication service called Tanoshimurayama Mobile. The service will officially begin in March 2026. People can apply in advance from February 10, 2026. The partners say this is the first case in Japan where a local government is directly involved in providing a mobile service together with private companies.
The idea behind Tanoshimurayama Mobile is very local. It is about closing the digital gap and making daily digital tools easier to use for residents. The service includes SIM based mobile plans and Wi Fi services. There are optional add ons like unlimited calling. There is also a paid support option, and this is a big part of the plan.
Support is not just online or automated. Residents can get help over the phone. They can also get face to face support. This includes help with basic smartphone use. It also includes support for apps provided by the city. Things like local government apps and simple digital services. The service is clearly aimed at people who are not comfortable with digital tools. Senior citizens are a key group here.

Another focus is getting more people to use city recommended apps. This includes local information portals and payment services. Improving digital literacy across the community is part of the goal.
By tying mobile communication directly to city services, the project is trying to make digital access feel closer and more practical. It is not just about selling mobile plans. It is about making it easier for residents to stay connected to everyday services and to their local government.
