MediaDept has a digital billboard named DIGITAL BILLBOARD+GINZA 3D which is going to be set up in the Ginza area. It will become operational on February 2, 2026, and will be located in a very great place in Higashi Shimbashi. The pitch is straightforward. Use a three sided structure to give advertisers a deeper, more realistic 3D effect without forcing viewers to wear anything. The company is treating this as the second chapter of its DOOH lineup after Omotesando.
What makes this interesting is not the hardware alone but the shift behind it. MediaDept is building an internal setup for 3D creative so brands do not have to scramble for specialists’ every time they want to try a 3D campaign. It is a one stop flow from production to display.

This move rides on a bigger industry wave. Digital OOH is getting more immersive as cities look for displays that add to the environment instead of fighting it. With Ginza, Shiodome, and Shinbashi footfall converging, the company is basically betting that high visibility plus 3D impact will become the new normal for urban advertising.
