NTT DATA and NTT Business Solutions have rolled out a greenhouse gas emissions tracking platform called C-Turtle FE for Awa Bank. It is the first time a financial institution in Tokushima Prefecture has started using it. The idea is simple. Help banks and their borrowers see where their carbon emissions actually come from and how to reduce them. The platform follows the international PCAF standards so that the emission data and insights stay consistent and credible.
For Awa Bank, this is a step in a much bigger goal. The bank’s goal is to reduce its CO₂ emissions to a level below 50% by the year 2030 and to achieve net zero by 2050. The majority of local carbon tracking small and medium-sized enterprises are complaining about the method being complicated and costly. By giving them access to C-Turtle, Awa Bank wants to make the process easy, accurate, and practical for everyone involved.

NTTデータ そして NTT Business Solutions will back this with data, tech, and local reach. They along with Awa Bank aim to transform sustainability into a metric that can be monitored, upgraded, and disseminated throughout the community. The concept is to unite businesses, public authorities, and financial institutions in Tokushima and incorporate carbon-neutral management into the very fabric of the region’s development.
