Ricoh Japan has introduced a new lineup of its generative AI solution, ‘RICOH Digital Buddy,’ specifically designed for local government use. Available from September 19, 2025, the new offering, ‘RICOH Digital Buddy Standard for Local Governments’ and ‘RICOH Digital Buddy Advanced for Local Governments,’ are built to operate within the secure LGWAN environment, enabling local public organizations to leverage AI safely without storing or using input data for training.
The service uses registered regulatory and internal documents to automatically generate answers to inquiries, reducing the workload of government staff who traditionally respond to phone and email queries. It can summarize big documents like plans and reports. This helps staff find important information quickly and boosts operational efficiency.
