Safie Inc., the No. 1 cloud recording service provider, is pleased to announce the successful completion of a technical verification to integrate AI analysis technology with Neural Group Inc., a comprehensive AI company that independently develops and possesses a wide range of AI technologies, including object detection, classification, spatial recognition, human body and motion analysis, and facial expression and viewing analysis in images and videos. The success of this verification establishes a technical foundation that allows for the immediate application of Neural Group’s diverse AI solutions to Safie’s domestic network of approximately 354,000 cameras, without requiring any new equipment installation or wiring work.
In all industries in Japan, the chronic “labor shortage” caused by the rapid decline in the working-age population due to the low birthrate and aging population has become a serious bottleneck. In order to maintain and improve productivity and quality beyond previous levels with limited personnel, it is urgent to move away from person-dependent and analog work flows such as visual inspection and manual data entry. Against this backdrop, there is a strong demand for “data-driven business operations” that go beyond mere operational efficiency, digitizing all events on-site in real time and autonomously optimizing operations using advanced technologies such as AI cameras. As a result, the implementation of AI on-site is becoming a full-scale requirement for companies to secure sustainable growth and competitiveness. On the other hand, introducing advanced AI analysis requires replacing existing cameras with dedicated edge AI cameras and large-scale server installation work on-site, and the implementation costs and construction period have been major obstacles to social implementation.
In this technological collaboration, we successfully integrated video data from Safie’s cloud platform with Neural Group’s proprietary analysis architecture to perform real-time analysis. This makes it possible to utilize Safie‘s existing cameras and provide “AI analysis that can be used today” quickly and at low cost.

As the first phase of this verification, we demonstrated the accuracy of analysis at a practical operational level using video via API in “DigiPark,” Neural Group’s flagship parking lot occupancy monitoring solution. This engine, which can accurately identify not only the presence or absence of vehicles but also vehicle types such as passenger cars and trucks, already has a proven track record in large-scale commercial facilities and logistics facilities, and this collaboration will promote the digital transformation of parking lot management using existing cameras.
Moving forward, we will transition to the practical application phase, sequentially integrating our services with Neural Group‘s pedestrian flow analysis solution “DigiFlow” and license plate recognition technology “DigiThru”, and developing multifaceted AI solutions including parking lot analysis and security. In the future, we also envision mutual cooperation of both companies’ camera networks and sales channels, contributing to the realization of smart cities and the resolution of social issues.
