NTT Broadband Platform, Inc. will begin providing a platform infrastructure to support OpenRoaming, a new authentication mechanism for free Wi-Fi. We will begin accepting consultations regarding the introduction of OpenRoaming from February 21, 2025. We will work with area owners to promote the spread of OpenRoaming in the free Wi-Fi areas that NTTBP is contracted to operate.

OpenRoaming is an international wireless LAN roaming platform jointly developed by the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) and its member companies. NTTBP provides services compatible with OpenRoaming in cooperation with Cityroam, a member of the WBA that operates the roaming platform in Japan.
