MEISA Inc., a company specializing in AI-based spatial information, is pleased to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for strategic cooperation with KDDI Corporation, a leading telecommunications carrier in Japan.
MEISA develops spatial information solutions that utilize drone and satellite image data, and provides technology in a variety of fields, including DX (digital transformation) in the construction industry, as well as DX management for golf courses and disaster risk analysis.
With this MOU, the two companies will begin full-scale efforts toward proof of concept (PoC) and commercialization for the Japanese market.

The two companies will strengthen their collaboration in various areas, including technology cooperation, promoting proof of concept (PoC), and joint promotion of new services.
In the future, they will also jointly explore the possibility of expanding their business, including entering into an official sales partnership.
In particular, MEISA will combine its AI-based spatial information data processing technology with KDDI Corporation’s 5G and IoT infrastructure to support digital transformation in various industries in Japan. The two companies plan to verify synergies through PoC (proof of concept) and proceed with building the foundation for future full-scale commercialization.
Kim Young-hoon, vice president and head of overseas business at MEISA, said, “We believe that this MOU will be an opportunity for MEISA’s spatial information technology to accelerate DX (digital transformation) in various industries in the Japanese market. Together with KDDI, we will promote DX at construction sites and golf courses.”
In the future, the two companies plan to actively engage in activities such as “joint participation in exhibitions” and “joint expansion into overseas markets.”
