Hitachi Solutions, Ltd. announced that it will begin offering the GeoMation Disaster Prevention Solution from April 1st. The solution overlays meteorological and equipment information on a map to help companies utilize their BCP, from detecting the risk of weather disasters to responding on-site during disasters.
The GeoMation Disaster Prevention Solution is a solution that overlays various on-site information on a map to visualize it, enabling managers and field workers to share data and take the necessary measures in the affected areas.
Specifically, the system will be able to visualize risks for each phase, such as before a disaster occurs, during a disaster, and during recovery, by overlaying maps, meteorological information, IoT data, and other data on management information for companies’ factories, warehouses, and facilities. The system’s high-speed geographic information display technology allows for smooth overlay display with various data, and by accumulating and utilizing past disaster data, it will support post-recovery review and the formulation of measures to prepare for future disasters.

In addition, by managing the progress of on-site work aimed at disaster mitigation on a task-by-task basis, the company will support efficient equipment inspections and appropriate and safe labor management.
Weather information is provided in collaboration with Halex Co., Ltd., a private comprehensive weather company, and it is possible to visualize disaster risks using weather information for an area of approximately 1 km square and alert level information in hourly increments, and automatically extract and notify information on high-risk facilities. Managers can use this information to send necessary work instructions to on-site workers, such as plans to suspend work and confirmation of inspection systems, before the alert level rises.
