Fairy Devices Inc., BrainPad Inc., and BrainPad AAA Inc. are pleased to announce that they have formed a business alliance in the field of multimodal AI. As the first step in this alliance and collaboration, the three companies have jointly developed a “Work Video Analysis AI Agent” that supports digital transformation of on-site work. This AI agent is scheduled to be available this summer as a new solution that utilizes the technology for various on-site technical work.
The “Work Video Analysis AI Agent” is an AI agent designed by BrainPad and developed by BrainPad AAA that analyzes various work videos from industrial sites. It works with the neck-worn wearable device “THINKLET” through Fairy Devices’ multimodal AI library. Engineers and workers wearing “THINKLET” simply perform their work, and the AI agent processes and analyzes the audio, video, and various sensor data recorded and distributed by the device, and automatically generates procedures, manuals, and reports related to the work. Workers can also receive remote support in emergencies. In addition, by accumulating the analysis results, the agent can provide answers based on the analysis results in response to inquiries from the site. These functions allow companies to depersonalize work, verbalize procedures, and free them from cumbersome reporting tasks, and can also be effectively used to improve current work workflows.
Fairy Devices is a research and development company that uses multimodal AI technology to support digital transformation (DX) of field operations, and provides technology that integrates software and hardware. The company’s flagship product, the wearable device “THINKLET,” was developed to collect appropriate learning and analysis data for AI and facilitate smooth communication with AI. Its ergonomic, lightweight, hands-free design reduces the burden on field workers compared to head-mounted wearable cameras and smart glasses, and all operations can be controlled from the cloud via mobile lines. In addition, its angle of view is stable and it can be used in noisy industrial environments. The company’s AI-based products are used in Antarctica and other locations around the world, and have been highly acclaimed.

This new solution will provide Fairy Devices’ accumulated expertise in multimodal data (video images, audio, GPS, various sensors, etc.), edge data processing, real-time control of devices via the network, and “various AI technologies for smooth communication between humans and machines.” In the future, it will also be possible to add this multimodal AI to existing “THINKLET” users.
BrainPad AAA is a subsidiary of BrainPad that specializes in the AI agent business, and is responsible for the overall development of autonomous AI agents within the BrainPad group. For this new solution, they will develop the functions and UI/API for the AI agent that analyzes multimodal data collected and edge-processed in the field by “THINKLET” and responds to inquiries from the field. In addition, by working closely with BrainPad, they will absorb the needs of the field and quickly carry out updates to generalize functions.
BrainPad has a wealth of experience as a group of professionals who work closely with customers to utilize data. In this case, in addition to data analysis, BrainPad will also conduct face-to-face surveys of on-site operations, identify issues, and implement measures based on data analysis and consultations, and will provide implementation tailored to the use cases specific to each industry and the circumstances of each company. BrainPad will also support in-house development through the training of personnel who can use data and AI, so that customers can further increase their utilization.
By managing and supporting individual projects and organizations across a wide range of industrial sites, the BrainPad Group aims to circulate knowledge about multimodal AI that is not limited to a specific field and promote the spread of AI agents that are tailored to the actual workplace.
