ATEC is a Japanese automotive software company with over 36 years of experience. They began their first global partnership with FPT, a leader in IT services. This partnership aims to boost innovation in Japan’s automotive industry. They will co-develop software solutions for safer, smarter, and more connected mobility.
A Strategic Response to Industry Challenges
The partnership aims to address urgent problems in the automotive industry. This includes the growing need for advanced software development. There is also a shortage of skilled workers in embedded systems. FPT and ATEC are joining forces. They want to combine FPT’s global expertise and ATEC’s deep knowledge. Their goal is to create high-quality, scalable solutions. This is especially true for AUTOSAR and Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) services. They aim to serve leading Japanese car manufacturers.
A key part of this collaboration is launching a new Offshore Development Centre in Ho Chi Minh City. There are also plans to expand in the future. This initiative will boost development capacity while addressing resource constraints.

Mutual Benefits and Long-Term Vision
This is a big step for ATEC. It’s their first global partnership. This deal gives them access to more resources and helps them scale operations better. The alliance gives FPT access to ATEC’s customer network. It also boosts FPT’s position in Japan’s tough automotive tech market.
“Automotive stands as a critical industry in Japan, with increasing AI-driven automotive systems. “FPT’s expertise in automotive tech and AI, along with ATEC’s industry insights, can spark new chances in Japan’s dynamic automotive market,” said Do Van Khac, SEVP of FPT Software and CEO of FPT Corporation Japan.
