SCSK Corporation is the only company in Japan to have been selected as a Health and Productivity Management Brand for 11 consecutive years. In order to give back to society the track record and know-how it has gained, SCSK has launched a health and productivity management support service called “Uwell”. In June, Uwell will begin offering a “Health Survey” based on the health awareness survey that SCSK has been using internally since 2014. Leveraging SCSK’s extensive experience, Uwell will support companies in identifying health and productivity management issues, planning and implementing measures, and measuring results, thereby promoting the evolution of corporate culture and creating a healthy and comfortable working environment.
Health and Productivity Management is defined by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as an initiative that considers employee health management as a management strategy, aims to revitalize the organization through health investment, and ultimately improve business performance, and also contributes to “extending the healthy lifespan of the nation.” It is also expected to solve social issues such as the labor shortage caused by the declining birthrate and aging population.
However, while some companies understand the importance of health and productivity management, they have issues with setting evaluation indicators and goals for employee health, selecting effective measures, measuring the effects after implementation, and using data to run the PDCA cycle, and as a result, they are unable to promote health and productivity management initiatives.
