bitBiome Inc. has announced a strategic partnership with Tojo Vikas International Pvt. Ltd.. The two companies will jointly develop and commercialize products aimed at the flavor and fragrance market. Tojo Vikas has been active in this industry for many years and works with customers across global markets, which is a big part of why this partnership came together.
Under the agreement, bitBiome and Tojo Vikas will work side by side to identify which products make sense for flavor and fragrance use, then develop them and bring them to market. Tojo Vikas brings strong market knowledge, existing customer relationships, and hands on experience in commercializing specialty ingredients. bitBiome brings the technology side. The idea is to combine what the market wants with what biotechnology can realistically deliver at scale.
bitBiome’s contribution centers on its biomanufacturing platform. This platform is built on one of the world’s largest microbial sequence databases. It is supported by enzyme engineering, proprietary strain development, and production processes that can scale from lab to manufacturing. Using this setup, bitBiome can discover and produce enzymes, proteins, microbial strains, and other functional biological ingredients in a controlled and efficient way.

The companies say this combination of market insight and synthetic biology is meant to speed things up. Instead of long development cycles with unclear demand, the focus is on building sustainable, high quality ingredients that match what the flavor and fragrance industry is actively looking for. The partnership reflects a broader shift toward biomanufacturing as a practical route for creating next generation ingredients with lower environmental impact.
