Timee Inc., provider of the part-time job service “Timee,” is pleased to announce that it has signed a business partnership agreement with Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture.
Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture, is located almost in the center of Toyama Prefecture. Within its compact area of about a 7km radius, it is packed with many attractions nurtured by its abundant nature, including a fishing port where a wide variety of seafood such as white shrimp and red snow crab are landed, Uchikawa River with its beautiful townscape that is also known as the Venice of Japan, Kaiwomaru Park and Shinminato Bridge, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of various beautiful scenery.
On the other hand, Imizu City is facing issues of low birthrates, an aging population, and labor shortages. The city’s population has been declining in recent years since peaking at 94,209 in 2005, and the number of births and deaths also reversed from natural increase to natural decrease in the same year. The number of declines has continued since then, and as the low birthrate and aging population progresses, it is predicted that the natural decrease in population will intensify in the future (※1). In addition, businesses in the city are calling for support in dealing with labor shortages and securing employees (※2), and resolving these issues is an urgent matter.

With this agreement, we aim to introduce flexible spot work styles through the use of Timee, and secure human resources and create jobs for businesses in the city. In addition, by stimulating the city’s potential workforce and promoting diverse work styles, we will work together with Imizu City to solve local issues under our company’s mission of “creating infrastructure that expands life’s possibilities through work.”
