KENCOPA Inc., which is working to reduce manpower and automate construction sites, is pleased to announce that Takenaka Civil Engineering Co., Ltd. has commenced a Proof of Concept (PoC) of “Kencopa Process AI Agent,” an AI agent developed by KENCOPA that specializes in construction work.
Background of the implementation
Takenaka Civil Engineering faced a challenge in creating and managing project schedules: the format and notation varied depending on the client and site, and the data was distributed across different formats such as Excel and PDF. This meant they were unable to fully reuse past project and performance data. Even when data entry was requested from the field, there were limited personnel capable of continuously organizing and accumulating the data with a view to future use. Therefore, they needed a system that could accumulate project information in a unified format within the workflow without increasing the burden on the field staff.
Against this backdrop of challenges, our “Kencopa Process AI Agent” was evaluated for its ability to digitize process schedules in a consistent format, improve the quality of process review through comparison and reference with past projects, and build a foundation for utilizing the process data accumulated in the process for the next project. As a result, a proof-of-concept (PoC) was initiated. Going forward, we will proceed with phased verification to establish an operational model that accumulates and utilizes process data while minimizing the burden on on-site personnel, and continuously builds knowledge.
