Straker Japan Co., Ltd., the Japanese subsidiary of Straker Group, a company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) that provides language solutions based on AI technology, will begin offering “SwiftBridge AI,” an ultra-high speed platform developed specifically for the simultaneous disclosure of financial results summary reports in Japanese and English by Japanese listed companies, from March 19, 2025.
Starting in April 2025, the Tokyo Stock Exchange will require companies listed on its Prime Market to simultaneously disclose important information, such as financial results, in both Japanese and English. Until now, many Japanese companies have adopted the traditional method of Japanese-English translation by translators, which requires a lot of time for the translation and confirmation process. As a result, English versions of financial results announcements are often released after the Japanese versions, which is not fair enough for overseas investors. With the application of the new rules, companies will be forced to quickly and accurately prepare English versions of financial results announcements and executive summaries necessary for overseas investors to evaluate the company.
Straker’s SwiftBridge AI is an ultra-fast platform developed specifically for the simultaneous English disclosure of Japanese companies’ financial statements. To support the accurate and rapid translation of Japanese companies’ financial statements into English, we trained and implemented our own Tiri model within IBM’s watsonx.ai platform. With an AI-centric workflow and custom-trained quality and terminology agents, plus a validation process by human financial translators, the SwiftBridge AI platform achieves superior accuracy and speed compared to traditional human-centric methodologies. This allows us to produce the English version of quarterly financial statements in an average of 3-5 business days, compared to an average of 7-10 business days using traditional human translation services, and English executive summaries in less than 24 hours.

David Sowerby, Chief Revenue Officer at Straker Group, said, “Japanese companies need to provide information to overseas investors in a fair and transparent manner. Our AI-based solution will enable Japanese companies to quickly provide the financial information they need.” Sowerby continued, “In launching SwiftBridge AI, Straker spoke to experts familiar with global investments. They said that overseas investors want financial information in English to be provided quickly and with easy-to-understand summaries, and they hope that SwiftBridge AI may make this possible.”
In order to attract more overseas investors, it is expected that in the future, even more advanced language solutions will be required for a larger number of documents, such as securities reports. Straker leverages its knowledge of providing language solutions globally in the financial field and advanced AI technology to enable smooth, time-free communication between Japanese and English through SwiftBridge AI, a language bridge in the IR field, bringing Japanese companies and overseas investors closer together.
