Square has appointed Steven Adams as head of Japan. Adams was previously vice president of Visa Japan and head of merchant sales and acquiring in Japan.
Adams, who is newly appointed head of Japan operations, will be responsible for accelerating the business’s growth. He will increase Square’s recognition as a leader in the payments industry, while supporting the team in adapting Square’s global strategy to the Japanese market and accelerating growth through the rollout of innovative products. In addition, he will work to expand partnerships and establish Square as a force for growth and success for Japanese businesses.
