Shizuoka Bank announced that it will build a “common office automation (OA) platform” to be used by approximately 7,000 employees of 14 companies under the Shizuoka Financial Group. The bank plans to apply a zero-trust security architecture to make cloud use safer, and hopes to have it up and running from March 2026. NEC will support the construction of the platform. NEC first used its DX solution “BluStellar Modernization Modernization Program for Financial Institutions” to organize the issues and measures of the common OA platform in a framework based on the zero-trust security architecture. The common OA platform is an initiative based on the group’s first medium-term management plan “Xover – Pioneering a New Era,” and will standardize the individual business environments of each group company. The zero-trust security architecture will be applied to the security measures here, and the aim is to standardize and improve security measures, reduce the load when adding new measures, streamline operations, and improve business productivity.
The main measures include integrating the networks of each group company and introducing a secure access service edge (SASE). SASE will perform security inspections of all Internet communications to prevent the intrusion and spread of threats. All devices will connect directly to the Internet via SASE, making cloud services more secure.
