JPYC Inc. is pleased to announce that JPYC Prepaid, a prepaid payment instrument issued by our company, will be treated as an electronic payment instrument from June 1, 2025, following the required transitional period following the amendment to the Payment Services Act that came into effect on June 1, 2023.
Regarding the handling of “JPYC Prepaid” from June 1, 2025 onwards, we would like to inform you as follows.

We will end new orders for JPYC Prepaid and the JPYC Prepaid v2 exchange service as of 13:00 on Friday, May 30, 2025. The final deposit deadline is 18:00 on Friday, May 30, 2025.
We will stop issuing new “JPYC Prepaid” from 0:00 on Sunday, June 1, 2025. After this date, “JPYC Prepaid” will not be issued for any reason.
There are currently no plans to redeem JPY Prepaid for cash.
For those who have already purchased JPYC Prepaid, it can continue to be used as a prepaid electronic payment method, a means of payment for gift certificate sales on the JPYC apps, and as a means of free balance transfer on all issued public chains, just as before.

At present, we have not yet completed the registration required for issuing electronic payment instruments , and new issuance of JPYC Prepaid has been suspended in accordance with the provisions of the Cabinet Office Ordinance of the Revised Payment Services Act. However, this does not prevent users from continuing to use “JPYC Prepaid” that has already been issued. Taking this opportunity to respond to the recent legal revision, we will continue to work even harder to realize a highly safe and convenient digital currency in the coming digital society.
