Infcurion Inc. will provide its next-generation card platform “Xard” to “one paretto,” a new debit card service that Hokkoku Bank Ltd. will begin issuing on Monday, September 22, 2025. This project marks the first step in bringing the technology platform of “Xard,” which has built a track record in the corporate (BtoB) card field, to the consumer (BtoC) market.
“Xard” is a platform that allows users to issue original international brand cards (virtual/real) easily and at low cost through API integration. By utilizing this technology platform, “one paretto” enables instant issuance and use from the Hokkoku Bank smartphone app, as well as contactless payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay, providing a highly convenient payment and financial experience.
In recent years, the spread of cashless payments in Japan has been progressing rapidly, with a survey by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showing that it is expected to exceed 40% by 2024. In this market environment, there is a growing need for payment services that can be completed via smartphone apps and that combine high speed and security.

Among these, debit cards directly linked to bank accounts are gaining popularity among a wide range of users because they offer a smooth usage experience without the need to charge the card. Furthermore, with the rise of the digital native generation, primarily in their 20s and 30s, the style of completing payments using only a smartphone without carrying a physical card is becoming established.
Virtual cards are also attracting attention because they have a shorter lead time for issuance than traditional physical cards and offer superior security. In the unlikely event that a card is used fraudulently, users can quickly suspend or reissue the card via the app, allowing them to continue using the card without having to wait for a new card to be delivered.
In response to this situation, Hokkoku Bank has launched “one paretto,” a virtual debit card service for individuals that utilizes “Xard” to provide a new financial experience centered around a smartphone app. It is also possible to issue a physical card from the “one paretto” app.
