ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation has added a function to strengthen AI governance to C-NOAH, which provides applications, system infrastructure, and AI services for financial institutions. By utilizing Dynamo Guard, an AI auditing tool from Dynamo AI, the function will suppress “hallucination,” a phenomenon in which AI generates false information, leading to improved reliability of C-NOAH’s AI chatbot.
In recent years, as an increasing number of companies are using generative AI to improve the sophistication and efficiency of their operations, a phenomenon called hallucination, in which AI generates false information that is not based on facts, has become an issue. Hallucination can occur with generative AI due to inappropriate prompt content or insufficient quality and quantity of training data, so companies are taking measures such as training on prompt creation, regularly reviewing training data, and limiting the scope of its use in business.
Now, CTC has added a function to suppress hallucination in the AI chatbot that generates C-NOAH by utilizing Dynamo Guard. In financial institutions, the provision of incorrect information can lead to inappropriate investment decisions by customers and employees, or the leakage of customer information, so by improving the accuracy of responses from the AI chatbot, CTC aims to improve the accuracy and reliability of inquiries in internet banking and FAQ systems.

Dynamo Guard is an AI auditing tool that verifies in real time whether the entered prompt is consistent with the company’s compliance policy. If content deemed inappropriate from a compliance perspective is entered, the prompt will not be used as learning data for the AI, and answer generation will automatically stop. In addition, the generated answers are compared with highly reliable information such as official data from public institutions, industry groups, and companies, and the accuracy of the answers is quantified and evaluated. If the evaluation result falls below a certain level, an alert is displayed on the screen to alert the user.
Going forward, CTC will continue to strengthen AI governance, including hallucination suppression, customize C-NOAH to suit customers’ business operations, and develop new applications, while supporting the advancement and efficiency of operations in the financial industry through improved reliability and safe use of generative AI.
