Pacific Meta has partnered with TMI Associates to simplify how overseas blockchain companies enter and expand in the Japanese market. This collaboration kind of merges practical business execution with legal know how, so international firms get one unified support system as they move through Japan’s shifting blockchain and digital asset environment, step by step.
The agreement is set to touch on digital assets, blockchain businesses, stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets, and on-chain finance. TMI Associates will take on legal compliance, licensing matters, contracts, plus regulatory obligations, while Pacific Meta will focus on go-to-market planning, business model development, sales support, partner building, and the overall operational setup.
The timing makes sense too, since Japan keeps updating its crypto rules and steadily pushes blockchain adoption forward. Lately, policy changes and industry initiatives have boosted the appeal of overseas blockchain solutions, yet lots of international companies still get stuck with licensing, regulation, day-to-day local operations, and market entry. In practice, those friction points can slow down expansion a lot, and they also tend to lift both legal and operational expenses, considerably.

By combining their expertise, Pacific Meta and TMI aim to reduce those barriers. Japanese companies looking at overseas blockchain solutions will also get something out of having a more structured process, where legal, operational, and commercial bits get considered together instead of in separate lanes. That should make it a bit easier to compare the technologies, then move from a proof of concept to a full-scale deployment without too much back and forth.
Going forward, the two companies plan to put emphasis on areas that they expect will grow faster in Japan, such as stablecoins, tokenized assets, on-chain finance, blockchain infrastructure, and enterprise blockchain applications. The collaboration is non-exclusive, with TMI continuing to provide independent legal advice in line with professional regulations.
