Starseeds Co., Ltd. has signed a basic agreement with US-based Ricloud AI Inc. to collaborate on AI data center and GPU infrastructure projects. The partnership sorta brings together Starseeds’ skills in GPU server procurement and infrastructure solutions with Ricloud AI’s know-how around AI data centers, cloud computing, and big scale facility operations.
This agreement lands while the appetite for AI infrastructure is still going up, mostly because generative AI is getting adopted more widely, plus the constant need for high performance computing. So building these modern AI data centers now means you need more than just powerful GPUs. Reliable power, advanced cooling, energy storage, and stable network infrastructure have become equally important.
Under the agreement, the two companies will discuss supplying GPU servers and related equipment to Ricloud AI’s facilities and customers, while also exploring cooperation on power systems, cooling technologies, energy storage, and other infrastructure needed for AI data centers. They also plan to examine opportunities to jointly develop AI infrastructure projects in Japan and overseas by combining their technical expertise, customer networks, and business resources.

Starseeds also said the partnership kind of matches with its wider US expansion strategy, and there are preparations to set up a US subsidiary, which should support its AI infrastructure business. Still, both companies pointed out that the talks are basically in the early stage, you know, nothing is locked in. The key details like equipment volumes, pricing, project scope, investment plans and also any later AI data center operations in Japan will end up being handled via separate agreements as negotiations move ahead.
